General Updates
Neo will join TOKEN2049 in Singapore as a Platinum sponsor, hosting a booth where the second BlockSpirits activation will take place. BlockSpirits is a non-fungible item-enabled game from COZ that allows booth visitors to unlock an elemental spirit character and then battle against other players by tap-scanning a physical card. The conference runs Sep. 18 and 19 at the Marina Bay Sands resort in Singapore.
Poly Network announced the complete termination of its services. Poly Bridge cross-chain and other services will be shut down effective Sep. 30, 2024. The decision to fully shut down was made citing changing market conditions. The team will remain available to help projects transition away from the platform and answer any questions or concerns.
Neo announced its partnership with GoPlus Security, a Web3 security platform designed to protect users against various risks associated with blockchain usage. Neo X is the first network to integrate the GoPlus User Security Module at the node level, providing automatic transaction screening to protect users.
DeXFun announced plans to launch its gamified decentralized perpetual futures non-custodial exchange on the Neo X EVM sidechain. DeXFun’s development team plans to gamify the perps trading experience by offering mini-games and a leveling system to provide an interactive journey.
Encode Club launched its satellite event for phase one of the Neo X Grind Hackathon. The Grind Hackathon is a two-phase event aimed at bringing developers onto Neo’s new EVM-based network. In phase one, third-party event organizers will manage satellite hackathons, each offering its own prizes and support for participants. The second phase will be a global hackathon, open to both new entries and participants from the satellite events, with a focus on onboarding applications into the Elevate program. Developers have until Oct. 6, 2024, to submit Neo X-based projects for a chance to win prizes.
AxLabs founder Guil Sperb. Machado kicked off the Neo X Grind hackathon in an online presentation with an introduction into the Neo ecosystem, an overview of Neo X, the hackathon bounties and prize structure, common questions and resources, and key dates for workshops.
Carrot Swap and Asteroneo launched token generators on Neo X. Carrot Swap’s Launchpad allows users to create a new token on Neo X or Base (and plans for BNB Chain) with a few clicks, minimal coding knowledge, and a small amount of liquidity. Once created, the token becomes instantly tradeable on the Carrot Swap non-custodial exchange. AsteroLab is a token generator that serves as a memecoin token generator, but the team also envisions that the module can be used for projects intending to build a product around their token. Once a token is created on AsteroLab, users can create a liquidity pool on Asteroneo.
Asteroneo dropped the first 500 in its NeoNauts NFT collection, which sold out in 2 hours. The NFT launch resulted in the highest volume of daily transactions on the Neo X EVM sidechain since the release of its MainNet.
