Flamingo Finance has launched OrderBook+ 2.0, a fully decentralized, block-based order book on the Neo N3 MainNet. The upgrade introduces on-chain order matching without intermediaries, improving efficiency and transparency for traders.
On-chain order book
Unlike AMM models, which rely on LPs and can introduce price slippage, OrderBook+ 2.0 executes trades directly between user orders at the blockchain level. Every transaction is recorded on-chain to ensure transparency and immutability.
OrderBook+ 2.0 also introduces advanced liquidity aggregation, integrating liquidity from both LP tokens and limit orders plus automated market making. The platform also guarantees queue placement for orders, promising fairer execution relative to typical decentralized exchanges.
During stress tests, OrderBook+ achieved 99.99% uptime and demonstrated transaction volume scalability limited only by the Neo N3 blockchain.
Trading capabilities
Users can place limit orders across multiple trading pairs, including bNEO/FLM, FLM/FUSD, bNEO/FUSD, and other assets paired against FUSD and USDT. The update also optimizes GAS fees to minimize transaction costs.
Flamingo Finance conducted extensive testing before launch, with months of community and internal evaluation on TestNet. The team deployed 22 release candidates and hosted high-volume trading competitions to refine performance before moving to MainNet.
Next steps
With OrderBook+ 2.0 live, Flamingo Finance plans to expand its marketing efforts, including social media campaigns, AMAs, and trading competitions.
The team also intends to reduce FLM emission rates and introduce FLOCKS, a dividend-bearing token with governance functions and an FLM-burning mechanism.
Other upcoming initiatives include a new cross-chain bridge and Flamingo Finance integration into Neo X.
