In conjunction with the release of the 100th episode of the Smart Economy Podcast, we’ve rebranded our YouTube channel to Smart Economy Network. The update is part of an ongoing effort to make our content more accessible and appealing to a broader audience beyond the immediate Neo community.
This initiative builds on our previous efforts to expand the reach of Neo-related content through broader narratives. The rebrand of the Neo News Today Podcast to the Smart Economy Podcast was an early step in this direction – one intended to bring more eyes and ears into the Neo ecosystem by inviting ideas and conversations from outside our core community.
The Smart Economy Podcast is designed as a space for open, thoughtful conversation. We invite builders, thinkers, and creators from across the blockchain and technology landscape into our backyard – not to promote specific projects, but to explore ideas, challenges, and philosophies shaping the future of decentralized systems. Our host, Dylan Grabowski, brings a grounded, Neo-informed perspective to each discussion, asking questions that connect broader industry developments to the vision and values that drive us all.
With the updated channel name, Smart Economy Network, we hope to take this a step further. After publishing 100 episodes, it’s become clear that having content housed on a channel closely branded to a single blockchain ecosystem can introduce subtle friction. Sharing content or referencing episodes from the podcast can sometimes carry unintended signals on behalf of guests about affiliation or focus. By transitioning to a more neutral yet still Neo-aligned identity, we aim to smooth those edges and make it easier for our content to travel and resonate beyond our immediate community.
All existing content formats, such as the Neo Week-in-Reviews, event interviews, Core and Council meeting recordings, and the Smart Economy Podcast will continue to be published on the channel. Looking ahead, we also plan to explore new educational content and show formats that fit under the Smart Economy umbrella.
While the rebrand helps make our more cross-ecosystem content easier to share and discover, it also supports a broader goal of improving accessibility for Neo-centric material. One challenge the Neo ecosystem has long faced is a lack of exposure on non-Neo platforms, whether that’s dApp aggregators, blockchain media outlets, educational hubs, or developer-focused networks. Although this change won’t solve that on its own, we see it as a small step toward lowering the barriers for new audiences to engage with our content and, by extension, the Neo ecosystem.
This change does not impact any of our other content or operations, nor are we planning any additional rebranding to other core NNT platforms such as NeoNewsToday.com or nDapp.org. Our goal is to build more bridges, not just in terms of technology and interoperability, but also through our content and conversations.
By removing a small friction point, we hope more people will discover, engage with, and ultimately become a part of the Neo ecosystem.
