Neo and SpoonOS have announced the Silicon Valley Bowl as the fourth stop in the Scoop AI Hackathon global series, a competition exploring the convergence of blockchain and artificial intelligence. The event will take place Nov. 22-23 at the Shenzhen Bay Innovation Center in Santa Clara, California, featuring a weekend of in-person development, panels, and collaboration among leading technology partners, universities, and infrastructure providers.

The Silicon Valley Bowl is co-hosted with the Berkeley Emerging Technology Association and brings together contributors from OnePiece Labs and the Ethereum Foundation. Participants from Stanford Blockchain Club and Blockchain at Berkeley are also noted to attend, bringing research and startup experience in distributed systems, machine learning infrastructure, and decentralized finance.

Registration and format

Participants can register individually and join solo or team builds. Teams may consist of one to three members, with additional team formation opportunities available following sign-up. Registrants will receive access to dedicated Telegram and Discord channels for coordination and support.

Tracks and themes

Developers will compete in four challenge tracks, each designed to demonstrate how agentic AI systems can leverage decentralized infrastructure:

  • Agentic Infrastructure: Build interoperable AI systems that can talk, reason, and collaborate
  • AI4Science: Accelerate scientific discovery through LLMs, simulations, and knowledge graphs
  • Autonomous Finance & Quant AI: Fuse AI reasoning with decentralized and programmable finance
  • Open Innovation: A wildcard track for visionary ideas redefining how AI interacts with the world

Prize pool and partner support

The Silicon Valley Bowl will award more than US $60,000 in prizes, including sponsor rewards and infrastructure credits. Top-performing teams will receive cloud computing support and resource grants to continue development beyond the hackathon.

Partners contributing to this stop represent multiple layers of the modern AI stack, including inference, data routing, multimodal generation, and distributed systems. Organizations such as Google Cloud, TRAE, Antigma, Rialo, Boins.ai, Surf, Desearch, Manus, ElevenLabs, AIOZ Network, and Gata will be present, with several providing hands-on access to infrastructure, tooling, and mentorship.

Scoop AI hackathon series

The Scoop AI Hackathon is a global initiative organized by Neo and SpoonOS to advance a “sentient economy,” where decentralized intelligence enables secure, transparent, and scalable applications. The broader hackathon series runs through Jan. 2026, with additional city stops scheduled in Tokyo, Seoul, Bangalore, Beijing, and London. The total prize pool for the series is $100,000.

Complete details, developer resources, and participation guidelines are available in the Scoop AI Hackathon Handbook. Participants can also join the SpoonOS Discord server for team formation and support.
