SpoonOS recently completed the first season of its Developer Call program, a six-week initiative that brought together 43 contributors from across the globe. The event concluded with an equivalent of US $5,500 in GAS distributions as rewards for outstanding developer efforts that advanced the open-source ecosystem around SpoonOS and the broader Neo ecosystem.
DevCall Season 1 was a launchpad for various projects, including MCP servers, Neo-integrated contract tools, and several AI-driven agents. These contributions sought to illustrate SpoonOS’s adaptability for applications ranging from RWA tokenization and prediction markets to DeFi and smart contract auditing, with each ultimately aimed at supporting the broader vision of a Sentient Economy.
Throughout the first season of the DevCall program, the SpoonOS developer community achieved:
- 146 GitHub stars
- 85 GitHub issues
- 5 pull requests
- 7 new projects
Of the nearly 200 project proposals, eight stood out in particular, and the developers received rewards for building their tools and incentivizing continued development. The following eight developers received recognition for their contributions:
- CodeKage25 was awarded $1,400 in GAS for a DeFi AI Training Bot, an AI-based trading tool built on SpoonOS. The developer also received an additional $100 for a Smart Audit Assistant, an AI-powered smart contract security analyzer.
- Sambit Sargam earned $1,100 for NeoLink, a wallet tool that connects SpoonOS to the Neo ecosystem, improving user experience and smart contract interoperability.
- Zhi0467 received $950 for contributions, including a News ReAct Agent and a Data MCP Server that facilitates integration with prediction market platforms like Polymarket.
- Ricky was awarded $500 for developing a Cryptocurrency Market Data MCP Server, which aims to simplify the agent framework for new developers.
- yueliao11 earned $300 for prototyping an RWA Agent on SpoonOS, enabling integration of off-chain assets into the agent ecosystem.
- web3devz received $250 for the Neo DeFi Guardian Agent, focused on optimizing core SpoonOS performance and MCP stability.
- Agentinfinity-CN was awarded $150 for multiple contributions, including DeFi risk assessment tools and GameFi platform integration.
Looking Ahead
Following the success of its inaugural season, the SpoonOS team intends to transition the DevCalls from a seasonal format to a continuous contribution model. Developers can now contribute to SpoonOS year-round, with ongoing GAS rewards offered for impactful work. SpoonOS will also continue its Co-Learning initiative under a new brand, providing collaborative learning opportunities for newcomers and experienced builders.
The SpoonOS team invites developers and learners to join its growing ecosystem and contribute to building the infrastructure for a Sentient Economy.
