Neo has announced a partnership between SpoonOS, its agentic operating system, and FLock.io, a decentralized AI training platform.

AI development

SpoonOS is designed to help developers build productive AI agents that participate in on-chain applications. The framework is incubated by Neo Global Development and uses a blockchain-agnostic design.

AI agents are customized instances of LLMs, built to automate specific tasks and responsibilities. Though many general purpose models already exist, new models or fine-tunes of existing models can help improve the accuracy and usability of agentic solutions.

FLock.io

FLock.io aims to democratize AI training through its decentralized platform. It positions itself as a response to the risks of centralized AI development, where a few large entities maintain control over data pipelines and model outputs.

According to FLock.io, this centralization limits transparency, increases the risk of bias, and restricts public input into the direction of AI systems.

Via the AI Arena, users may participate across the full lifecycle of AI development, including contributing data, defining desired models, performing training or fine-tuning, evaluating model performance, or simply delegating tokens.

Participants in the AI Arena also earn FLOCK, a TestNet token for FLock.io which is currently deployed to the Base network.

The partnership with SpoonOS will see its developers gain the ability to leverage FLock.io’s training infrastructure. The two teams will also collaborate to explore the development of the SpoonOS Agent Interoperability Protocol, which is intended to facilitate agent-to-agent communications.
