NEO News Today Writing Competition: Wallet Tutorials
We’re pleased to announce our first writing competition, and would like to invite members of the community to submit works for a chance to win GAS prizes.
As the Smart Economy grows, we expect more and more people will be joining the NEO ecosystem. For those of us who have been around cryptocurrencies and blockchain for a long time, learning how to use a new wallet is easy. The NEO community is blessed to have some amazingly talented developers who have released some truly intuitive wallet software.
However, newcomers still need a little bit of guidance. Even those who come across from other platforms may need assistance when it comes to concepts like GAS claiming, the indivisibility of NEO or adding new NEP-5 tokens.
To best provide the information needed for a smooth transition into the NEO Smart Economy, we would like to invite the community to write tutorials for some of the most popular NEO wallets for publishing on NEONewsToday.com.
Participants can chose to write a tutorial for any of the following wallets:
Entries will be judged on the following:
Clarity of concepts
How easy is the tutorial to follow? Has it been broken down into easily digestible sections? Does the tutorial clearly and succinctly explain core concepts?
Use of imagery
Have screenshots been used effectively to demonstrate the different elements of each wallet?
Depth of content
Has all the important wallet functionality been covered in the tutorial?
Writing quality and tone
The tutorials should be written as an instructional guide, not an opinion piece. Grammar and spelling are naturally very important.
The developers from Morpheus, O3, Neon and NEO Tracker will be helping us judge the entries for their respective wallets.
Along with being published on NEONewsToday.com, the winning tutorial authors will each receive a prize of 30 GAS. Two runners up for each wallet will also be selected and receive a prize of 5 GAS.
Contestants are welcome to submit entries for multiple wallets.
Entries must be submitted by July 31st and can be sent to wakeup@neonewstoday.com in a Word or Google Doc. Winners will be announced on August 14th.
Bonus competition
As a bonus competition, we’re inviting writers who are passionate about the NEO ecosystem to write and send us news articles on any NEO project. These articles must be 250 - 500 words and can be on any topic you like, as long as it covers a news story from within the NEO ecosystem from after May 1st.
We're always looking for new writers to join our team, and we figured since we’re holding a writing competition anyway, this would be a good vehicle to identify some new talent. Consider this an audition!
We’ll reward 2 GAS to the best five articles submissions, and entrants may be invited to contribute to NEO News Today in the future for further GAS rewards.
Winning articles will have the following qualities.
