COZ distributed 369 NEO across three contributions in round 2.16 of Proof of Working 2.0, recognizing a new payment monitoring service, continued development of the Pusharoo deployment workspace, and security hardening for the NeoVest vesting platform. The round brings the program’s cumulative total to 7,725 NEO distributed across 16 rounds since its January 2026 relaunch.

Neo Payment Watcher

Salar, a first-time Proof of Working recipient, was recognized for Neo Payment Watcher, an open-source, non-custodial payment monitoring service for Neo N3. The tool enables merchants and backend applications to accept NEP-17 token payments without managing customers’ private keys or custodying user funds.

Built on .NET 10, Neo Payment Watcher monitors the blockchain via standard JSON-RPC for incoming GAS, NEO, and whitelisted NEP-17 token transfers. Payments are matched to orders using unique pricing offsets and confirmed through HMAC-signed webhooks pushed to merchant endpoints. The repository includes 53 unit tests alongside MainNet replay testing and TestNet end-to-end testing.

Pusharoo

Vault Keeper received recognition for Pusharoo, a smart contract development and operations workspace for managing deployments, upgrades, and on-chain interactions. The award marks Vault Keeper’s ninth consecutive round of recognition, spanning rounds 2.8 through 2.16, during which Pusharoo has evolved from an artifact inspection tool into a comprehensive release and operations platform.

Updates in this round include integrated TestNet GAS faucet support with cooldown controls, reusable wallet authentication sessions to reduce repetitive signing prompts, and pre-deployment validation for contract initialization parameters.

NeoVest

Fireche, a first-time recipient for the NeoVest project, was recognized for security hardening work on the open-source token vesting platform. Updates strengthened vault smart contract validation to prevent unauthorized deposits from creating misleading token lock records, removed an untrusted redirect vulnerability from the front-end dashboard, and aligned vesting schedule calculations directly with on-chain data.

Additional changes introduced active network validation to prevent accidental transaction signing on the wrong network. Fireche maintains a hosted TestNet testing environment for the platform.

Looking ahead

The COZ Council noted that the round’s contributions address distinct ecosystem needs. “Sustainable ecosystem growth requires reliable developer tools and straightforward commerce rails,” the Council stated. “When developers have safer deployment workspaces and merchants have lightweight payment monitoring, building on-chain becomes significantly more practical.”

Contributors interested in the program can share their work through COZ Discord and COZ GitHub. Submitted code must be Apache 2.x licensed, and COZ staff members are excluded from weekly rewards.
