R3E Network has launched neo3scan.com, a modern Neo N3 blockchain explorer designed not only to let users check blockchain data, but to interact with it directly. The open-source project aims to serve as an all-in-one portal for the Neo N3 ecosystem. The explorer features an Etherscan-inspired interface and currently connects to public neo3fura endpoints for its backend data.

Core explorer features

At its foundation, neo3scan.com offers the standard block explorer capabilities users expect: browsing blocks, viewing transaction details, inspecting smart contracts, and looking up address balances with full token holdings. Both NEP-17 tokens and NEP-11 NFTs are supported, with a dedicated NFT gallery view. A charts and statistics section provides historical data visualization of network activity, and the explorer includes built-in multi-language support with internationalization.

Governance and consensus node monitoring

A governance page enables users to view all Neo N3 consensus node candidates, their vote counts, active/standby status, and estimated GAS rewards for voters. The page includes a built-in voting reward calculator that displays estimated monthly GAS yield and APR based on the user’s NEO holdings. Consensus node liveness monitoring is also available for the top seven nodes, displaying uptime ratios to help voters make informed decisions.

Neo Name Service (NNS) integration

The explorer treats NNS domain names as first-class identifiers throughout its interface. A dedicated NNS page lets users search for .neo domains, view ownership and resolution details, register available domains, and transfer domains they own – all directly from the browser with wallet connection. Where NNS domains exist for addresses, the explorer displays the human-readable name in place of raw addresses across the interface.

Address and public identity recognition

neo3scan.com includes a comprehensive known-address database that automatically identifies and labels well-known entities throughout the explorer. Transactions and addresses belonging to Neo Foundation wallets, council members, consensus node operators, and prominent ecosystem participants such as COZ, Flamingo, NeoSPCC, GhostMarket, Neo News Today, and others are highlighted with human-readable labels.

Neo Treasury / financial reserves

A treasury page provides real-time, transparent tracking of the Neo Foundation’s digital asset holdings. The page displays NEO and GAS balances across operational and reserve wallets, grouped by foundation entity, with estimated USD valuations based on current market prices and an asset distribution chart. The developer credited neo-treasury.pages.dev as the data reference for this feature.

Developer tools suite

neo3scan.com ships with an extensive tools section offering advanced utilities for interacting with Neo N3:

Sponsored transactions

One of the more notable tools is the Sponsored Transactions feature, which allows users to claim GAS rewards or vote for consensus candidates even when they lack sufficient GAS to cover network fees. A community-funded sponsor wallet covers the transaction fees for eligible users. The sponsorship GAS has been donated to NR3E4D8NUXh3zhbf5ZkAp3rTxWbQqNih32 by the Neo community, reflecting a “from the community, for the community” approach.

User-friendly script decompilation

The explorer prioritizes human readability throughout. Transaction details include script decompilation that aims to present information in a meaningful way, replacing raw hex strings with human-readable contract calls and parameters wherever possible. Transaction execution traces can also be viewed via a dedicated trace page.

Ongoing development

The explorer remains under active development, with the developer noting that bug fixes and new tools are being added on a continuous basis. R3E has stated that the long-term goal for neo3scan.com is to move beyond simply checking blockchain data, allowing users to chat with and interact with the Neo N3 blockchain directly.
