COZ will deliver an event-wide activation at Blockchain.RIO 2025, centered around BlockSpirits, its Web3 game enabled by non-fungible item technology. The interactive experience will allow attendees to engage in real-time smart contract battles using AeroGlyph cards, a next-generation NFI innovation developed by ITEM Systems.

Blockchain.RIO, recognized as Latin America’s largest event focused on blockchain, tokenization, AI, and innovation, will take place from Aug. 5 through 7 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The conference is expected to host more than 20,000 attendees, feature over 400 speakers, and include upwards of 70 sponsors.

ITEM Shop experience

At the heart of COZ’s activation is the ITEM Shop, a large-format booth positioned along a primary conference walkway. Designed as a decentralized, peer-to-peer retail storefront, the ITEM Shop will facilitate:

  • User onboarding and distribution of 3,000 AeroGlyph cards
  • On-site point redemption for merchandise
  • Technical support for participants

Upon arrival, visitors will receive a branded lanyard and a BlockSpirits-themed AeroGlyph card, which serves as their key to the on-chain experience. These credit card-sized NFIs are designed for interoperability, offering a secure interface between physical products and dApps. Each card is linked to a soul-bound elemental BlockSpirit character, enabling onboarding via a tap-scan with a smartphone—no app installation required.

Participants will engage in tap-to-battle encounters throughout the event, triggering smart contract executions that track points and unlock rewards in real time. As attendees accumulate points, they can return to the ITEM Shop to redeem them for merchandise, echoing classic RPG item exchange mechanics.

Dynamic engagement beyond the conference

The BlockSpirits Arena will feature daily thematic transformations, encouraging repeat participation with evolving narratives and new rewards. Gameplay will persist beyond Blockchain.RIO, allowing users to continue engaging with their AeroGlyph-linked BlockSpirit after the event concludes.

In a recent Space hosted on the official The Smart Economy Podcast X page, Tyler Adams, COZ CEO, noted that the team intends to distribute AeroGlyph cards to the international Neo community for asynchronous gameplay.

Sponsorship packages

COZ has structured three sponsorship tiers to integrate partner branding into the BlockSpirits experience:

  • Arena Boss: Sponsors receive a custom BlockSpirit and AeroGlyph card with enhanced battle rewards. They will be highlighted within the BlockSpirits app and daily arena email communications. The package includes engagement analytics.
  • BlockSpirit Guild: Includes two Arena Bosses and 500 branded AeroGlyph cards, each linked to a custom BlockSpirit. Guild sponsors receive detailed analytics on their cohort’s performance.
  • Arena Takeover: The highest sponsorship tier, offering full branding control over an entire day’s arena theme, app skin, and ITEM Shop merchandise. This package includes four Arena Bosses and a branded participant email campaign.

Confirmed sponsors for Blockchain.RIO 2025 include Neo, CoinEx, ZION, BlinkPlanet, NearX, and Skate dos Sonhos.
