Neo Colorado has announced its next eventWhy Neo and how can I use it to BUIDL? — will take place on Wednesday, February 12th, 2020, in Denver, Colorado. The first Neo Colorado event of 2020 will be an educational forum that is part of a series of events taking place in the week leading up to ETHDenver, called “BUIDL Week.”

This year will mark the third annual ETHDenver, touted as the world’s largest Web3 hackathon. In 2019, ETHDenver attracted more than 2,000 participants (800 of whom were developers) from more than 30 countries and 40 states.

First Neo Colorado event in 2020

In 2019, Neo Colorado hosted or participated in more than a dozen events, workshops, conferences, or informal gatherings. A portion of the events were dedicated to introducing the broader Colorado blockchain community to the Neo ecosystem through “101” level and general information events.

In its 2020 campaign, Neo Colorado strives to offer more “201” and “301” level events, specifically by delving further into available resources in the Neo ecosystem. To kick off its campaign, Neo Colorado will be offering a structured presentation towards builders, developers, and blockchain-based businesses.

The first part of the presentation will focus on the question, “Why use Neo?” This portion of the event will offer instances that highlight why Neo may be an excellent ecosystem for developers to build within, as well as offer business use cases.

The second part of the presentation will focus on highlighting the variety of tools in the ecosystem available to developers, the languages those tools support, and contact information for the community developer groups maintaining those repositories.

After the presentation, participants will receive a paper wallet, spun up from neo-burner, populated with a NEO coin. The neo-burner concept offers users a way to quickly receive NEO by scanning a QR code with their mobile phone camera app. The paper wallet the user is given will have a copy of private keys that can scan into the O3 mobile wallet app, where the user can send the NEO to a permanent address. If the NEO is not sent from neo-burner within 24 hours, the paper wallet will lose access to that NEO.

Note: To receive a neo-burner paper wallet, the recipient must RSVP via the Meetup page and attend the Neo Colorado event.
