The Web3 Italia community will host its first meet-up in Rome on Oct. 20. The event will be the first of its kind since the group received funding through the GrantShares DAO in July.
Web3 Italia was created with the intention of evangelizing Web3 technologies in Italy through Neo’s Smart Economy vision. Its opening event will provide a basic introduction to the Neo blockchain. Guests will be guided through opening a wallet and performing their first transaction, with 50 GAS tokens to be distributed among attendees. The meet-up will be small in scale and held at a brewery in Rome.
Since successfully getting its proposal funded in July, the Web3 Italia group has been working towards several deliverables. Its website web3italia.org is currently under development with basic Web3 education content already available. The community next intends to expand upon these topics using Neo use cases.
In addition to beginning its offline community engagement, Web3 Italia has also started online engagement through Twitter and Telegram.
The inaugural Web3 Italia meet-up will be free to attend and begins at 7:00 p.m. local time. It is open to all who are curious about Web3 and Neo.
