The inaugural Centre Point event will take place May 2 – 4 in Dubai alongside the TOKEN2049 conference, marking the launch of a new initiative designed to foster deeper collaboration amongst builders across the Neo ecosystem. The participant-driven event is aimed at convening ecosystem contributors to share ideas, align on priorities, and cultivate relationships that advance Neo’s growth. Anyone can attend the gathering, submit a proposal for discussion, and apply for a chance to get a travel grant.

Conceived by COZ, Flamingo, Neo SPCC, AxLabs, and Neo News Today, Centre Point is open to all members of the Neo ecosystem. The event draws inspiration from past Neo Community Assembly gatherings hosted by Neo Global Development (i.e., NCA 2023, NCA 2019), which have been lauded for their productive discussions and meaningful outcomes.

Centre Point is envisioned as a recurring series of regional community meetups, with future instances planned to coincide with major blockchain conferences. At its core, the initiative is a call to action and an open invitation to ecosystem dApps, community groups, and individuals dedicated to building on Neo.

Attendees are encouraged to propose topics for discussion or presentation, including but not limited to:

  • Project showcases
  • Ecosystem proposals
  • Roadmap insights
  • Infrastructure and tooling
  • AI and Web3 synergies
  • Regulatory and market trends

Neo Council members are particularly encouraged to participate, with the goal of leveraging their expertise to support ecosystem-wide collaboration. However, Centre Point remains open to all who are actively engaging with the Neo platform.

A GrantShares RFP is now open to fund travel grants of up to US $2,000 to support participation from contributors not affiliated with Neo Council nodes or sponsored communities. Applicants must be actively contributing to the Neo ecosystem, unaffiliated with a sponsored group, and not part of a Neo Council team. AxLabs has released a guide on how to submit an RFP for a Centre Point travel grant.

Travel grant applications are open through April 2, 2025, and interested individuals are encouraged to apply early due to limited availability.
