On Wednesday, July 10th and Thursday, the 11th, NEO ecosystem representatives will participate at the Barcelona Trading Conference (BTC) 2019 taking place in Barcelona, Spain. The BTC aims to connect retail brokers, institutional money managers, banks, liquidity providers, exchanges, and digital tech companies to “promote the institutional adoption of crypto assets.”
NEO Global Development (NGD) director of Ecosystem Growth in Switzerland, Lili Zhao, is going to participate on a panel entitled “Ride or Dai: How Stablecoins Address Volatility.” The panel discussion seeks to differentiate between centralized, crypto-collateralized, and non-collateralized stablecoins; identify how investors can protect themselves from “worst case scenarios;” and, uncover potential regulatory scrutiny.
Other panelists include Ido Sadeh Man, founder and president of Saga Foundation, Kiko Matsumura, co-founder of Evercoin, and Nimrod Lehavi, co-founder and CEO of Simplex. The panel begins at 10:00am on Wednesday, July 10th.
Fabio Canesin, co-founder of the Nash Exchange, is also scheduled to participate on a panel entitled “The Future of Exchanges: What’s Next?” The panelists will weigh-in on the possible direction of cryptocurrency markets, how exchanges can meet the needs of retail and institutional investors, and potential impacts of regulations on exchanges.
Other panelists include Robert Jan de Jong, business development and key account manager with Bitfinex, and Miha Grcar, head of business development at Bitstamp. The panel begins at 11:15am on Thursday, July 11th.
Lastly, Jaime Kindelan and Fernando Díaz Toledano, NEO core developers and Red4Sec IT security consultants, are conducting a workshop from 2:00pm to 3:50pm on Thursday, July 11th.
The workshop is entitled “developing Smart Contracts on the NEO blockchain” and aims to “provide the attendees with all the necessary information to develop and use their own smart contracts in NEO.” The workshop will be conducted in Spanish.
