This event offers a platform for Web3 enthusiasts to participate in panel discussions and Web3 workshops, and compete for prizes.
GAS Station
Participants who attend GAS Stations as part of the Neo APAC Hackathon will compete to win one of two US $5,000 prizes and an invitation to attend the Hong Kong finale, complete with a $1,000 travel grant. Those who make it through to Hong Kong will compete for one of five $10,000 prizes and the opportunity to share in a $1 million post-hackathon grant fund.
The two-day GAS Station event consists of:
- Day 1 (Aug. 12): An introductory workshop on developing on Neo, a panel discussion, and a hackathon that includes teamwork and mentoring sessions.
- Day 2 (Aug. 13): A second workshop on scaling blockchains with rollups and zero-knowledge proofs, a developer-focused work session, and a project demo session with Q&A, review, winner announcements, and celebrations.
Registration is mandatory for those who wish to attend the event, and all participants must be 18 or older. Anyone unable to attend a GAS Station in person can still participate in the overall APAC Hackathon event by registering and submitting projects online.
BingX Partnership
Neo also announced a new APAC Hackathon-related partnership with BingX. BingX is a custodial exchange founded in 2018 that offers spot and derivatives trading for more than 5 million customers across 100 countries. According to CoinMarketCap, the exchange had approximately US $235.73 million in 24-hour volume at the time of writing.
As part of the partnership, BingX will offer marketing efforts across various traditional media and social media channels, secure speakers and judges for the event, support participating projects with feedback and reviews, and send a representative to join a panel discussion at the Ho Chi Minh City GAS Station.
