On Monday, April 6th, 2020, Neo Global Development (NGD) Seattle lead, John deVadoss, will be delivering an online presentation to the .NET Developers Association of Washington. The presentation aims to provide an overview of blockchain ecosystems and business applications, followed by a five-minute demonstration of building a Neo-based smart contract in C#.

The relationship with the .NET community was first seeded in September 2019, when Neo became the first blockchain project to join the .NET Foundation. The .NET Foundation is an independent, open-source, non-profit organization dedicated to promoting innovation and adoption of the .NET ecosystem.

The .NET Developers Association is a community-oriented group that seeks to further education of .NET developers. The association is split between a western community established in downtown Seattle, and an eastern division in Redmond, WA.

The five-minute demonstration is likely to highlight the tools and functions of the Neo Blockchain Toolkit for VS Code, which saw the release of version 1.0 in February 2020. The toolkit allows developers to quickly run private network instances, create and debug C# smart contracts, and simplifies contract deployment and invocation on the blockchain.
