COZ has reported that the MONOPOLY Experience: Tesouros do Brasil generated over 54,600 smart contract invocations during its first full week of operations from Sept. 13-20, with Monopoly-related contracts accounting for four of the five most active contracts on Neo N3 during the period.
According to COZ, the activation drove over half of Neo N3’s total ecosystem transaction volume for the week. The Hasbro-licensed immersive experience, which opened Sept. 16 at Shopping Cidade São Paulo, recorded 1,398 completed guest journeys across its first seven days.
Contract breakdown
COZ published a breakdown of weekly call volumes across the five most active Neo N3 contracts during the period:
- AeroGlyph (COZ): 20,111 calls, pass and guest profile management.
- ITEM NFI (ITEM Systems): 18,652 calls, physical chip cryptographic authentication.
- Monopoly (COZ): 8,586 calls, game state machine handling balances and properties.
- Dice Engine (COZ): 7,200 calls, deterministic randomness and risk engine.
- GasToken (Neo native): approximately 7,840 calls, network gas operations.
The figures indicate an average of roughly six contract calls per completed guest session. Each visitor receives a reusable NFC-enabled AeroGlyph card loaded with a starting balance, with all game state tracked on-chain through Neo N3 smart contracts. The system requires no wallet setup, seed phrases, or visible gas fees from participants.
Daily progression
COZ’s reported daily figures showed activity peaking on the weekend, with Sept. 19 recording 2,668 calls, the highest single-day volume during the opening week. The public kickoff on Sept. 15 registered 1,338 calls, while weekday volumes during the national tour ranged between 619 and 803 calls.
“Phygital L1” positioning
In announcing the metrics, COZ described Neo as having become a “Phygital L1”, a term combining physical and digital to characterize a Layer 1 blockchain optimized for real-world, location-based applications. The framing reflects COZ’s broader strategy of positioning Neo N3 as a settlement layer for consumer-facing experiences where physical items are cryptographically bound to on-chain state, building on earlier deployments at conferences and events using ITEM Systems’ NFI technology.
Looking ahead
The Monopoly experience is scheduled to run as a four-month national tour across Brazil through November. NNT previously reported that COZ projected approximately two million on-chain transactions over the activation’s lifetime, a target the first-week volume of 54,600 calls begins to track against as the tour progresses to additional venues.
