NGD Ecosystem Growth director in Switzerland Lili Zhao was recently invited to join a panel discussing the future of cryptoassets by the Swiss National Bank. The SNB-CIF “Conference on Cryptoassets and Financial Innovation” will be held at the Swiss National Bank in Zurich on May 31st, with the panel occurring between 16:00 – 17:00 CEST (UTC + 2).
Other panelists include Vasily Suvorov, VP of technology strategy at Luxoft, Corinne Zellweger Gutknecht, professor for civil and monetary law at the University of Zurich, and Pindar Wong, chairman of VeriFi (Hong Kong) Ltd.
The conference has been organized as a collaborative effort between members of the Swiss Nation Bank and the University of Basel’s Center for Innovative Finance. A call for paper submissions was also issued, inviting authors to share their proposals on related topics, including but not limited to:
- Impact of DLT technology and fintech on central bank policy and operations
- Impact of DLT technology and fintech on banking, financial markets and financial market infrastructures
- Central bank digital currencies
- Trusted digital identities and financial innovation
At the time of press, it has been confirmed that the keynote lecture by Elixxer.io CEO David Chaum will be live-streamed. It is not yet known if the full conference or panel will also be live-streamed. The full conference schedule may be found here.
