On March 7, 2018, Ontology completed their first airdrop to newsletter subscribers and attendees of NEO DevCon. Individuals who subscribed to receive the Ontology Newsletter in January of 2018 received 1,000 Ontology (ONT) tokens, and NEO DevCon attendees were airdropped 500 ONT tokens.
Ontology used a simple KYC to verify the validity of e-mail addresses subscribed to the mailing list.
On March 8th, 2018, Ontology announced via Twitter that the NEO Council airdrop of ONT tokens was also complete. 0.1 ONT per NEO was airdropped to each NEO wallet, with an additional 0.1 ONT per NEO to be distributed upon the Ontology mainnet launch.
The snapshot of NEO holders was taken at block height 1,974,823, which took place at 09:15:33 am (UTC +8) on February 28, 2018.
More information about the NEO Council airdrop can be found in this article.
Ontology will not host a public token sale.
