Ontology has recently announced partnerships with Cocos and IdentityMind Global. Cocos is a mobile game development platform. IdentityMind Global is a company that provides risk management, fraud prevention, and Know Your Customer (KYC)/Anti-Money Laundering (AML) for ecommerce and fintech companies.

Partnership with Cocos

Ontology and Cocos have partnered “to co-build a gaming ecosystem and to support the gaming experience on the Ontology mainchain.” Cocos is a cross-platform, open-source free mobile gaming engine launched by Chukong Technologies, an international mobile entertainment platform company headquartered in Beijing. Cocos provides the framework and tools for game developers to create, produce, and launch gaming projects.

The partnership between the two companies is part of Ontology’s “real economy strategy,” which focuses on building connections between the traditional economy and distributed digital systems, without the need for complex processes and technologies. Ontology aims to utilize its chain network to “co-build the distributed trust ecosystem in the gaming industry.”

The Cocos development team aims to “provide technical services to build an application and development platform for blockchain applications, deploy operating environments for blockchain games, and support a more complete gaming experience with operating efficiency.”

Cocos’ efforts also involve the monetization of digital content through Cocos-BCX, a platform for digital assets. The Cocos-BCX platform aims to “provide game developers with ease of use and [a] complete blockchain gaming infrastructure” that enables digital asset transactions.

Both parties will utilize the partnership to share information, construct an ecosystem, and create a brand to market on a global scale. Additionally, Cocos will donate tokens to the Ontology Foundation so it may promote products and services to Ontology verified game players and developers, through user airdrops.

On the partnership, Chen Haozhi, Cocos-BCX Principal, said the company “[hopes] to keep data and rules transparent, and have an open, just, and fair environment for game players and developers to ensure their assets can be preserved in a safe, decentralized, and long-term manner. We believe Ontology’s rich experience in the blockchain industry can provide strong support to us and help Cocos to realize its vision.”

Li Jun, CEO of Ontology, stated “Ontology will work with Cocos to build a more complete gaming infrastructure, improve development efficiency of game developers, make sure that game players’ assets are effectively guaranteed, and create a mutually beneficial situation and new developer ecosystem in the game industry.

Ontology will leverage its partnership to utilize IdentityMind Global’s software-as-a-service (SaaS) based platform to “perform identity proofing, risk-based authentication, regulatory identification, and detect and prevent identity fraud.”

On the partnership, Garrett Gafke, CEO of IdentityMind, said they’re “pleased to work with an exciting, ground-breaking project like Ontology, who are building a new, high-performance public multi-chain project and a distributed trust collaboration platform.
