Neo News Today announced its GAS giveaway campaign, where four individuals can win 25 GAS each. To enter, the user must submit their NeoNS address to a Gleem form and retweet the Neo in 90 Seconds video on X (Twitter). Winners will be announced on Jan. 31, 2025.
Neo introduced a Naughty or Nice Xmas campaign, offering community members a chance to receive GIFT NFTs that provide access to a 400 GAS prize pool. The campaign invites participants to make a strategic choice – be “naughty” or “nice” – that leverages game theory to reward players. The campaign makes use of GIFT NFTs and GAS distributed on Neo X. The dApp is designed and built by COZ, while the prize pool is provided by the Neo Foundation.
TOTHEMOON announced the Waxing Gibbous mint, set to take place on Dec. 16 at 7:00 p.m. (UTC). This latest phase of collectible NFTs will introduce 5,300 digital assets, categorized into 5,000 Moon Creatures, 200 Moon Trainers, and 100 Moon Babies. Each NFT will be available for 5 GAS, purchasable using the Neon, NeoLine, or OneGate wallet on the official mint page. Characters from the new collection will be unveiled 48 hours before the mint begins.
Battle Hard released its economic model for the B token, which will be used for activity within the Battle Hard ecosystem. The B token has a total supply of 5 million, with 1 million allocated to live on the Neo blockchain and the rest slated to persist on four future networks at 1 million B tokens each. The utility of the B token will include minting and voting.
DeXFun‘s “To Da Moon Race” trading competition is set to come to a close. The competition, which opened on Dec. 2, asked participants to test their skills on the DeXFun Perp mini game to win FUN points and compete for a 2,000 USDT prize pool.
The NeoDashboard project added an art contest to its holiday community engagement program, with 10,000 NDMEME tokens up for grabs each day. The competition, which is open from Dec. 12 – 17, asks participants to provide graphics of the Professor Dashboard character in creative scenarios.
The Kermit memecoin on Neo X is running a “Where’s Kermit” competition on its X page, which asks participants to find Kermit the Frog in a “Where’s Wally” style image. Users who correctly identify the number of Kermits in the picture will go into the draw to win GAS on Neo X.
Frank Coin hosted a Discord trivia event where winners were rewarded with GAS.
Developer Updates
COZ CEO Tyler Adams authored an op-ed in a CryptoSlate article entitled ‘Blockchain needs a killer use case, and authentication is cold-blooded.’ The article discussed how blockchain can be used to intertwine immutable sources of truth for information verification with consumer goods verticals like second-hand apparel, luxury goods, jewelry, art, and more.
COZ shared a step-by-step video guide on migrating GAS from Neo N3 to Neo X.
Neo SPCC released its video update for October and November 2024, which included updates on NeoGo, NeoFS, REST, and highlights for NeoFS in 2024. The group also released several product updates:
- NeoFS v0.44.1 is a node patch that includes a minor set of bug fixes, local object PUT behavior adjustment, an extension of the number of concurrently processed chain notifications, and NeoGo dependency upgrade
- NeoFS S3 Gateway v0.33.0 includes concurrent parts uploading for multipart objects, ACL enabling policy change, a couple of bug fixes, and updated NeoGo dependency
- NeoFS Panel v0.6.0 incorporates new object search functionality and other updates
- NeoGo v0.107.0 includes an improved version of tails cutting functionality.

NNT editors co-hosted Crypto Coffee and Blockchain Beer Spaces #43 on the official The Smart Economy Podcast X account. Topics of discussion included a review of Ndapp and GasBot in 2024, reactivating Legacy NEO holders and giving new N3 users autonomy over their assets, the Enclave wallet goals for 2025 and reducing on-chain friction for users, Battle Hard as an NFT revival project that does not exist on any other blockchain, and the various community giveaways in the Neo ecosystem.
