Neo released a video of its presence on the ground at Web X Asia that took place in Tokyo, Japan, July 13 and 14.

AxLabs launched Ax402, a payment gateway that allows AI agents to pay for goods and services on a per-request basis. It is aimed at enabling AI agents to purchase access to data, content, and tools using tokens, without the hassle of maintaining things like accounts, subscriptions, and checkout pages. Ax402 is built on x402, an open protocol that repurposes the HTTP 402 Payment Required status code as the trigger for machine-to-machine payments.

NeoPod hosted its third community AMA on July 13, featuring Tyler Adams, COZ co-founder and CEO, in a text-based Discord session covering Neo’s strategic direction, the ongoing governance dispute, and what the ecosystem needs in order to break out of its current rut.

COZ CEO Tyler Adams announced plans to meet with Neo co-founder Erik Zhang and R3E Network founder Jimmy Liao to discuss a Neo ecosystem deployment roadmap.

NeoVerse: Hero Defense put forth its GrantShares application on-chain and has since received three votes in favor. Voting ends July 23.

OneGate is now listed in the Codex plugin directory. Developers can now build and test dApps based on OneGate and NEP-21 standards using Codex.

NeoRedPill kicked off its Community Challenge, which will run through July 29 and reward users for activity in the NeoVision Discord server. The top five contributors will split a pool of $50 in GAS.

Developer Updates

R3E Network released v3.1.0 of its Neo N3 MCP Server, redesigning how AI agents interact with the blockchain by making all state-changing operations fail-closed and approval-gated by default. The update, published on July 11, represents a fundamental architectural shift from the previous v2.x series. The release arrives amid Neo’s broader push toward AI agent infrastructure, with Da Hongfei positioning autonomous agents as the next major on-chain user category and SpoonOS incorporating MCP client support.

R3E Network also released v2.1.0 of neo-rust-sdk, a production-hardening update to the Rust SDK for Neo N3 and Neo X that focuses on making failures explicit and recoverable. The update, published on July 10, arrives less than a month after the breaking v2.0.0 release on June 17, which introduced unified error types and builder patterns.

Finally, R3E Network shipped a comprehensive overhaul of its Swift SDK for Neo, delivering four releases that introduce secure memory handling for private keys and bring Neo N3 v3.10.0 compatibility. The SDK, now published as neo-swift-sdk, reaches v4.0.1 as the latest stable release.

NeoSPCC released an updated version of the NeoFS Panel, which fixed OneGate v2 compatibility and other minor issues.
