Neo Global Development hosted a Twitter Spaces dedicated to infrastructure, entitled Middlewares for Blockchain Performance Improvement. The Spaces was hosted by Denis Suslov, NGD eco growth manager, and featured Greenfinch co-founder Alex Walker, Neo SPCC software engineer Leonard Liubich, and R3E Network co-founder Jimmy Liao. Topics of discussion included tradeoffs and security trends in oracle technology as well as a deep dive into decentralized storage on the Neo blockchain.
NGD also hosted a Twitter Spaces that featured alums from previous Neo hackathon events. The Spaces was moderated by COZ head of marketing Danny Heaven and featured SOMNIUMWAVE founder Sergio Avila, Kekkai founder Danny, Foo Social-Fi founder Zhen, and Chainrewardz founder Runlin. NGD announced an upcoming APAC Hackathon workshop, Learn to BUILD on Neo with CrypoZombies. The workshop will be hosted by CryptoZombies head of content Andrei Popescu, beginning at 9:00 a.m. (UTC) on Aug. 8.
Meme2Earn launched version 3.0 of its meme-posting platform built on Neo N3. The recent release includes a new promotion feature, offers support for USDT on Ethereum and Binance Smart Chain, and provides additional benefits for OG NFT holders. Meme2Earn also released a recording of the team’s Fireplace AMA. Topics of discussion included month-over-month growth in activity, focusing on active accounts for TIPS airdrops, the malicious actor who deployed a bot to manipulate the Flamingo Finance meme campaign, and more. Meme2Earn also announced the addition of new ambassadors for the month of July.
Flamingo released a recording of the July Community Lagoon AMA featuring project leadership. Topics of discussion included the recent Poly Network attack and how the team hopes this will make the bridge more resilient, the Flamingo Learn module, status and roadmap for the OrderBook, and more. NGD hosted a Java smart contract development workshop for the APAC Hackathon tour, conducted by AxLabs software engineer Michael Bucher.
COZ released Neon Wallet v1.2.4. on iOS, which now offers support for NeoNS.
NNT Catch Up
NNT released episode 43 of the Smart Economy Podcast, featuring Zac Townsend, the CEO and co-founder of Meanwhile. Meanwhile is the first and only life insurance company denominated in Bitcoin. Topics of discussion included using technology to improve institutional processes, how life insurance can ensure Bitcoin’s longevity, and the product Meanwhile offers and the types of customers they seek.
Perlin Finance launched its decentralized money market on the Neo N3 TestNet. Users can now test the platform that will eventually allow them to earn interest on their cryptocurrencies and borrow against assets on MainNet.
