Neo founder Da Hongfei regained control of his X account after it was hijacked by a hacker. The hacker posted about fraudulent airdrops in an attempt to steal funds from token holders.
Neo hosted an X Space entitled Neo Eco-Talk: Exploring the Intersection of AI and Web3, hosted by Neo Global Development business development manager Carolyn. The guests included Assisterr co-founder and CEO Nick Havyrliak, DSC ecosystem builder Cedar, TrendX COO Mahmoud Farouk, and Gaianet community lead Oz.
Neo launched a new Galxe Quest social media campaign in collaboration with ecosystem partner Tria. The campaign offers an equivalent of US $200 in rewards – $100 in GAS provided by Neo, and $100 in OG/Early NFTs (on the TGE blockchain) provided by Tria. The GAS will be airdropped to winners after Neo X MainNet launches, and the Tria team will distribute the NFTs in October.
Forthewin Network suspended the ftwNEO and NEP token bridges between the Ethereum and Polygon blockchains after a community white hat hacker reported a critical bug in the infrastructure. The team noted that all assets were safe, and the bug was identified and addressed. The EVM-to-Neo bridge has been repaired and is back in working order.
Pixudi’s team launched the XGuild, a new initiative aimed at helping game developers build and launch games on the Neo blockchain. XGuild provides comprehensive support, including marketing, development assistance, and financial incentives. The first projects to join XGuild include Pixudi, World of Elements, and the Neobox app store.
Neo Dashboard launched a new website that includes an address watch list of N3 NEO held on the top centralized exchanges and a moving 7-day change of NEO held on or moved off the tracked exchanges.
Frank Coin hosted a community quiz on the team’s official Telegram channel, where the top three participants each won 70 FLM, and ten random winners each won 60 FRANK tokens. Frank Coin also hosted a quiz on the official Frank Coin Discord server with the same prize reward structure. The founder also hosted a stream to discuss Neo ecosystem news.
Flamingo shared statistics on the FLUND single-sided staking token for week 27 of 2024, noting approximately $5.41 million in total value, $2.83 million in total minting rewards, and $526,000 in total trading fee rewards.
Developer Updates
COZ and Neo SPCC announced an agreement to integrate NeoFS with the Dora blockchain explorer. Transactions and accounts on the NeoFS TestNet and MainNet will be transparently and publicly available on the explorer.
Red4Sec co-founder Álvaro Díaz Hernández was featured in an interview on Safety Detectives entitled 4 Online Scams You Haven’t Heard Of. The interview focused on unique attack vectors against individuals and businesses in the cryptocurrency space.
AxLabs updated 1ClickNode to support Neo-CLI v3.7.5, which is available on the DigitalOcean marketplace.
NNT Catch Up
NNT editors hosted Crypto Coffee and Blockchain Beer Spaces #25 on the official The Smart Economy Podcast X account. Topics of discussion included chain abstraction between Neo X and N3, attracting and maintaining new users in ecosystems, the product ideation-to-VC pipeline and its role in ecosystem growth, NEO migrating off major exchanges, and good OpSec and avoiding scams.
