General Updates

Neo released a major upgrade to the Neo X TestNet, which enhances the anti-MEV and consensus mechanisms. This is included in version 0.4.0, which was launched on June 23.

Neo established a collaboration with MemeCore, a purpose-built, EVM-compatible L1 blockchain designed specifically for meme coins and meme-related dApps. The project launched on MainNet in Feb. 2025, with a unique “Proof of Meme” consensus mechanism that seeks to combine staking, validators, and rewards that are tied to meme culture engagement. Users stake meme tokens, delegate, validate blocks, and earn M tokens from ecosystem dApps.

MEXC announced that the custodial exchange will support the Legacy to N3 migration of the NEO token at a 1:1 ratio and that NEO withdrawals closed at on June 27. After June 27, MEXC will no longer support deposits, withdrawals, or swapping of Neo Legacy assets on the custodial exchange.

NeoDashboard announced War on Bugs, a new single-player strategy game that blends procedurally-generated maze exploration, card-based combat, and a robust character progression system. The team notes that the game is live on Neo X TestNet at a “largely feature-complete stage” and all are invited to test it out.

Meme2Earn launched a NUDES trading competition on the Flamingo Finance DeFi platform, featuring a US $694.20 prize pool distributed in NUDES tokens. The event is structured around maker and taker orders, rewarding the top 10 participants based on the cumulative volume of their orders placed on Flamingo’s OrderBook+ trading interface. The contest is live and will run through 2:00 P.M. (UTC) on July 21.

Flamingo Finance noted Epoch 12 concluded, that the total payout was $4,944.90, and 49,962 FLM were burned.

Frank Coin hosted a GasBot trivia contest on the FrankCoin channel of the NeoF1 Discord server and distributed 3 GAS in rewards to participants. Additionally, Frank Coin hosted a Telegram game event, where 10 random participants each won 40 FRANK tokens, and the top player won 100 FRANK.
