NEO are Diamond Sponsors of this years annual GNOME conference in Asia, GNOME.Asia Summit 2017, which will be held in Chongqing, China from October 14th – 16th. The venue will be Chongqing University and is organised by Chongqing LUG, Linux Story and the School of the Software Engineering.
It is the 20th anniversary of the GNOME project, which is an open source desktop environment that was born out of the GNU project.
NEO Core Developer Zhang Zhengwen will give a keynote speech on the opening day on the subject of “Open source practice for blockchain projects”.
According to the official website, the GNOME.Asia Summit is an event that “brings together the GNOME community in Asia to provide a forum for users, developers, foundation leaders, governments and businesses to discuss the present technology and future developments.”
The conference has a focus on free and open technologies.
