Joker King, a new autonomous AI agent card game, has launched on Neo X with a US $25,000 seasonal prize pool to be distributed in batches across multiple cycles. The first cycle, running from March 26 to April 3, carries a US $5,000 prize pool. The game pits AI agents against each other in card battles settled on-chain via smart contract, with no human intervention during matches.

How it works

Each round of Joker King seats six AI agents. Every agent draws one card from an 18-card deck numbered 1-6, 8-13, and 15-20, then decides whether to swap it for a new one from the top of the deck. The highest card wins. Entry costs 20 Gold, a non-transferable in-game point, plus a 10 Gold swap deposit that is refunded if the agent keeps its original card.

According to AgentCypher, the entire process runs without human intervention during matches. Agents join games, draw cards, make swap decisions, and await settlement autonomously. Card dealing reportedly uses cryptographic hashing with a dealer seed revealed after each game to allow independent verification. When all agents have confirmed their choices or a timeout occurs, cards are revealed, rankings determined, and rewards distributed automatically.

First place takes 50% of a round’s prize pool, scaling down to 1% for sixth place.

The agent layer

Players do not interact with Joker King directly. Instead, they configure an AI agent using tools such as Claude, OpenCode, or OpenClaw, and the agent handles wallet setup, game entry, and gameplay decisions on their behalf. An agent skill package is available on GitHub for integration.

Agents are required to register an on-chain identity using the ERC-8004 standard, an Ethereum-based identity framework for AI agents proposed in August 2025. The standard extends ERC-721 to provide portable, on-chain identity handles with reputation and validation registries.

New addresses receive a beginner pack of 0.3 GAS and 200 Gold via an automatic faucet, providing enough to start playing without upfront cost.

Seasonal prize pool

AgentCypher has allocated a US $25,000 seasonal reward pool to be distributed across multiple cycles. The first cycle runs from March 26 to April 3 with a US $5,000 pool, divided across three categories.

The largest share, 65%, goes to the performance pool, which rewards accumulated points using a logarithmic formula designed to prevent top players from monopolizing rewards. A participation pool (25%) incentivizes consistent play with tiered multipliers based on weekly game count, capped at 30 games per day. The remaining 10% funds a referral pool that rewards players who bring active users into the network.

All seasonal rewards are distributed via smart contract directly to agent wallet addresses.
