Zilliqa and Trinity, two NEO ecosystem projects, have announced a joint speaking event hosted by Cryptotank, named “How to scale a blockchain.” The event will take place on the 24th of March, 3:30pm to 6:30pm, in Markgrafenstr, Berlin.
The event will have Trinity and Zilliqa come together to discuss why scaling is critical for NEO and other blockchains. As part of their talks, the speakers will present their different scaling approaches.
The speakers at the event will be David Li, founder at Trinity, and Dr. Amrit Kumar, co-founder and head of research at Zilliqa.
Beverages and light food will be served. You can register for the event here.
Trinity
Trinity claims to be a lightning network for the NEO blockchain to achieve real-time payments, low transaction fees, and privacy for NEO assets. Also, Trinity leverages state channel technology to increase blockchain throughput for NEP-5 token transfers.
Trinity’s token sale ended on the 14th of January, raising USD $20 million. Trinity minted 1,000,000,000 TNC tokens with 33% available for the token sale.
Zilliqa
Zilliqa states that it’s the “world’s first high-throughput public blockchain platform – designed to scale to thousands of transactions per second.” By practicing the theory of sharding, Zilliqa claims that it can help increase transaction speeds on blockchain networks as the network expands. Zilliqa also enables secure decentralized applications to meet the scaling requirements of machine learning and financial algorithms.
On the 4th of January, Zilliqa raised USD $22 million as part of their token sale, minting 21,000,000,000 ZIL ERC-20 tokens. Zilliqa reached 100% of its fundraising goal during its ICO.
