Alexey Vanin, Neo SPCC software engineer, will join the second episode of Neo’s DevLog live discussion series. Conversation for this session will focus on Neo’s native distributed storage and oracle network.
The hour-long voice chat session begins at 2:00 p.m. (UTC) on Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2021, on the official Neo Discord server and is hosted by Neo community developer Robert Oschler.
Neo SPCC is responsible for developing NeoFS, which is aimed at being the first decentralized storage network that is properly equipped to handle real-world use cases for distributed applications. Vanin has been a Neo SPCC team member since 2018 and has had numerous academic articles published alongside the rest of the team in St. Petersburg, RU.
Oracle functionality is one of several new features supported in the N3 platform. In April 2021, Neo SPCC released documentation highlighting how to use N3 oracles to retrieve data from NeoFS in smart contracts. Oracle fees were recently reduced from 0.5 to 0.1 GAS, following a successful Neo Council vote.
DevLog is an NGD initiative to connect the broader blockchain developer community with subject matter experts in the Neo ecosystem. The series aims to offer development updates on tooling and infrastructure, and incentivize the Neo community through competitions and rewards.
