March 1, 2018 – Effect.AI, the decentralized network that aims to provide services in the Artificial Intelligence (AI) market, recently acquired Charlie Shrem and Tony Tran as strategic advisers. The new advisers were announced  February 27th and February 28th, respectively.

Charlie Shrem

Charlie became a Bitcoin advocate when the blockchain-based cryptocurrency was in its early stages. In 2011, he co-founded BitInstant, one of the first exchanges that allowed for users to purchase Bitcoin with fiat currency, such as USD. Though the exchange has closed its doors, Charlie has continued to partner with other projects in the blockchain sphere.

Charlie a founding board member of the Bitcoin Foundation, a non-profit organization with the goal of making Bitcoin a globally accepted method of exchange and storing value. He’s also the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Intellisys Capital, a cryptocurrency investment and trading algorithm portfolio management platform. Lastly, he’s the Director of Business and Community Development of Jaxx, a multi-coin wallet that runs on iOS, Android, Windows, and Mac.

On joining the Effect.AI as an adviser, Charlie stated, “It’s been a dream of mine to build a decentralized Mechanical Turk for a long time and I have always felt it was one the best possible use cases for crypto. Effect.AI is working hard to make this dream a reality and I’m very excited to have joined the team.”

Charlie will assist Effect.AI by leveraging his experience to help create a resilient, long-lasting open platform for AI development. Additionally, he’ll help acquire strategic partners to make this vision a reality. The Effect.AI team and Charlie aim to coordinate twice a week to discuss progress on targets and goals, and to propose changes if necessary.

Tony Tran

Tony is the Co-Founder and CTO of The Bee Token, a short-term housing rental platform with built-in protocols for payment, arbitration, and reputation management. Additionally, he’s one of the organizers of the San Francisco Machine Learning meetup group, and was a software engineer for Uber.

Effect.AI will benefit from Tony’s experience in machine learning, technological vision, and blockchain technology. Tony was inspired to develop The Bee Token after witnessing the housing issues of the San Francisco Bay Area, and helped build the platform to solve real problems for real people.

On joining as an adviser, Tony said, “Effect.AI is on the verge of utilizing blockchain technology to give everyone access to something that previously, simply wasn’t accessible in this way. I’m very excited to help them launch their project.”

Like Charlie, Tony will assist the Effect.AI team during development, and in the acquisition of strategic partners. They will meet on a regular basis.

The Effect.AI whitelist is still active, and their token sale will take place in March of 2018.
