Neo Global Development has accepted GhostMarket into the N3 Early Adoption Program. GhostMarket is a multi-chain NFT marketplace, and the first dApp to launch on the Neo N3 MainNet. GhostMarket launched in July 2020, with initial support for Phantasma and Neo. Binance Smart Chain, Polygon, and Avalanche have since been integrated into the platform.
GhostMarket allows users to buy or sell NFTs in bulk across various blockchains. It also offers the ability to mint NFTs that support royalties, so that creators can receive a percentage of proceeds each time the token is sold. GhostMarket also supports cross-chain carryover of royalties, even if the NFT sells on another marketplace.
Since its launch, artists, musicians, game developers, and general users have minted, traded, or sold NFTs on GhostMarket, amounting to more than US $1.54 million in total volume. Currently, there are more than 3.35 million NFTs available on the platform.
John Wang, NGD head of eco growth, said:
GhostMarket is a valued partner in our ecosystem. We expect them to continue their trajectory of growth and become an increasingly important part of Neo’s presence in the NFT area. In turn, we look forward to helping them collaborate with other Neo N3 projects in the ecosystem as everyone works together to build the future of the smart economy.
Looking forward, GhostMarket intends to release an SDK that will allow developers to integrate GhostMarket APIs into Neo-based dApps. In longer-term plans, the team aims to implement cross-chain swapping of Neo-based NFTs.
N3 Early Adoption Program Details
NGD’s Early Adoption Program has allocated US $10 million in grants for qualified teams and individuals. The goal of the program is to increase overall participation in the Neo ecosystem. NGD hopes that new ecosystem entrants building on Neo N3 can optimize the network through real-world use and testing. Ultimately, NGD believes the program can help establish Neo N3’s infrastructure while simultaneously bolstering awareness.
The NGD team hopes to see a variety of dApp and product ideas, with a particular interest in the following types of projects:
- Infrastructure for the Neo N3 MainNet (i.e., browsers, compilers, middleware)
- Product development based on NeoID, NeoFS, oracles, and other core components of Neo N3
- Application layer uses (i.e., DeFi, NFTs, and general dApps)
- Concepts with business use cases merging physical and digital worlds (i.e., social media, e-commerce projects)
- Regulation-facing use cases (i.e., payment and traditional financial digitization projects)
