GhostMarket, a non-fungible token (NFT) marketplace and explorer, has launched with cross-chain support for Phantasma and Neo. The market and NFT explorer was designed and created by Ghostdevs, an open-source developer community in the Phantasma ecosystem.
In a conversation with Neo News Today, GhostMarket and Neo Economy founder, Vincent, said “Most NFT marketplaces are either a) clunky, and/or b) support a single chain or single project. GhostMarket is feature-rich, and the only NFT marketplace to offer cross-project, cross-chain support.”
Users are able to participate in marketplace activities by connecting to GhostMarket with various Neo and Phantasma wallets. Supported Neo-based wallets include O3, Teemo, NeoLine, and NeoLogin – all of which are compliant with Neo’s dAPI (NEP-12) standard. Users can connect multiple accounts at one time to display an aggregate view of all owned assets.
GhostMarket also functions as an NFT explorer, enabling browsing of NFT events such as minting, transfer history, date of token listing, sale prices, and burning activities.
Neo blockchain support
Currently, GhostMarket only features PrivateNet support for the Neo blockchain, aiming for a Neo2 MainNet launch no later than August 2020. The Neo2 smart contract will allow users to trade, auction, and buy any NFT’s that are available on the Neo blockchain. Further, Vincent noted, “We ensured that porting everything to Neo3 will be a breeze.”
Neo ecosystem projects currently supported include Blockchain Cuties, 0xRacers, and 0xWarriors. Should other Neo ecosystem projects with NFT functionality seek to list on GhostMarket, the announcement states, “[Project’s are] strongly encouraged to get in touch with Ghostdevs through Discord to fast pace their integration.”
Fees and user statistics
Since it began beta testing, GhostMarket has served as a medium for more than 11,000 NFT sales and approximately US $28,000 in volume. Currently, there are more than 243,000 NFTs parsed out of which approximately 11.2K are on sale within marketplace.
There are no listing or marketplace fees for NFT sellers. When purchasing an NFT, buyers can expect a 2% fee at the time sale. GhostMarket has also implemented a referral program for each user who registers with the platform, which rewards the referrer with 25% of the fees paid at the close of a sale.
Looking forward, GhostMarket intends to develop a mobile application for its NFT marketplace. Further, the team aims to integrate support for a third blockchain in Q3 2020, and a fourth blockchain near the end of Q4 2020.
The Ghostdevs team states, “[Our] aim is to integrate any major chain with NFT capabilities and an NFT ecosystem to become the ultimate go to NFT marketplace for all NFT lovers.”
