Moonlight has announced that it performed a contract migration following the discovery of an exploit in its NEP-5 token. The announcement was made via the company Twitter on January 8th.
At 3:00 pm UTC on January 7th, the Moonlight team was notified by community leaders of “unusual transactions” occurring against the LX token contract. Following an investigation, Moonlight identified an exploit and took steps to cease trading on the Switcheo and Nash exchanges.
Shortly thereafter, Moonlight executed a script migration using its CICD workflow to patch the issue. No action is required by token holders. Trading has resumed on Switcheo.
Neo News Today reached out to Moonlight to query the extent of the issue, to which the team stated an assessment is still ongoing; however, Moonlight noted no user balances are or were at risk.
