InfStones, a newcomer to the Neo ecosystem, was recently announced as an initial member of the Neo Council. Among the first non-Neo Foundation / non-Neo Global Development Council members, InfStones provides decentralized infrastructure focusing on blockchain cloud management.

The InfStones team currently manages nodes across more than 50 major blockchains, including Ontology, Cosmos, Binance Smart Chain, and Polygon. InfStones aims to serve a wide range of clients, including individuals, institutional investors, foundations, universities, and research organizations. It also offers API gateways and smart contract development via its platform, and is the exclusive staking partner of institutions like Circle and Poloniex.

The initial Neo Council comprises 11 NF/NGD-held spots, InfStones, and nine other ecosystem communities and partners. The Neo Council will be tasked with maintaining the network’s health and liveness. Council members will vote on blockchain parameters (i.e., fees) and electing other on-chain roles (i.e., oracle nodes, NeoFS ring nodes).

In a conversation with Neo News Today, NGD ecosystem growth manager, John Wang, said:

InfStones is the world’s leading blockchain infrastructure service provider. It is committed to lowering the barriers to access and use of the blockchain. Currently, it supports more than 100,000 nodes on several public chains. Through the cooperation with InfStones, we hope that InfStones can use its own technical advantages and node operation experience to ensure the stable operation of Neo N3 nodes and maintain network security.

InfStones was founded in 2018 and has offices located in Montreal, Canada, Palo Alto and Dallas, USA, and Beijing, China. The team is comprised of engineers and others with prior experience at companies like Google, Oracle, Apple, Intel, and LinkedIn.
