NeoLine has upgraded its Chrome extension wallet with a range of new features, including an updated wallet detail page, the ability to add private Neo networks, and support for Ledger hardware devices.
The new version, v3.5, has now been rolled out to users automatically. Most of the new functionality can be found in the wallet details page, which has been overhauled with a fresh look and convenient new tools for wallet management.
This version is the first to support Ledger hardware devices, compatible with both Neo Legacy and N3 networks. Currently only devices connected by USB are supported, which can be used to check balances, sign transactions, and sign messages. The team has provided a step-by-step guide to using the new functionality.
With the new design, users can adjust the order of saved wallets, quickly export a standard NEP-6 wallet file, and check the currently active wallet. An additional network switcher has also been added to this page, and a search bar for quickly locating a specific wallet in the list was provided.
In the extension’s landing page, users can use the original network switcher to add custom networks, where a name, the network magic number, and RPC URL can be defined in addition to an optional field for linking with a custom block explorer. This will make the wallet much more accessible for developers who want to connect with private blockchain instances without manually altering the source code.
