Onramper has been nominated for the Best Public Solution by the Dutch Blockchain Awards as part of the first Dutch Blockchain Week. Winner announcements will be made Friday, December 4th, 2020.

Onramper is an API and widget that enables the purchase of cryptocurrencies using fiat directly from a website or app. It is an open-source “fiat gateway aggregator” that facilitates transactions between users and fiat on- and off-ramps. The Onramper product’s team is the same that developed NeoLogin, a web-based non-custodial wallet for the Neo ecosystem.

The public solution category is comprised of nominees that are permissionless blockchain technology companies with roots in the Netherlands. Alongside Onramper, former Neo ecosystem dApp, Effect.AI, has also been nominated. Other awards categories include social impact, enterprise solution, impactful person, BCNL Foundation community, and meaningful education.

Users can vote for Onramper through the Computable website, though wholly written in Dutch. On the nomination, Onramper CEO, Thijs Maas, said:

We are proud to have been selected by the jury as we aim to ensure that anyone can easily access the world of cryptocurrencies. We empower crypto-native businesses to easily onboard any user – and now we need your help.

To help non-Dutch speakers vote, Maas has created a video to help navigate the website.

Looking forward, Onramper co-founder, Albert Acebrón (aka corollari), noted the team is currently collaborating with other fiat-to-crypto ramp providers. In addition to Moonpay and Wyre, Acebrón said, “we are currently working to integrate BTC Direct and XanPool, and are also talking with a bunch of different parties.”
