Poloniex exchange has announced the listing of NEO markets on its exchange, while European-based Anycoin Direct has provided updates to its platform aimed at improving the user experience of purchasing NEO. Further, Cryptwerk merchant tracker has added to its list of businesses that accept NEO for payment.

Poloniex exchange listing

On Friday, May 1st, custodial trading exchange, Poloniex, announced the listing of NEO in the BTC, USDT, and TRX markets.

To celebrate the listing of NEO, Poloniex is hosting a trading competition, which will run through 8:59 pm (UTC) on Wednesday, May 6th. To become eligible, Poloniex users are required to trade a minimum of 100 NEO, which is defined as the sum of a user’s total buys and sells on the platform.

Winning participants will share from a prize pool of 590 NEO. The user with highest trading volume will receive 130 NEO.

Poloniex states rewards will be distributed to participants within two weeks of the conclusion of the event.

Anycoin Direct

Anycoin Direct, a Dutch-based fiat-to-cryptocurrency exchange platform, recently updated its website, aiming to provide more straightforward access for its users to purchase NEO and GAS. The changes include a new step-by-step ordering process, extensive information on NEO and GAS, and an in-browser interactive customer support assistant.

Anycoin Direct claims to offer services to more than 400,000 customers in the EU. The platform can provide cryptocurrency purchases via iDEAL, EPS, credit card, Bancontact, Giropay, Sofort, MyBank, or Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) payment methods.

To purchase NEO or GAS, Anycoin Direct users must first have a Neo wallet address. The fiat on-ramp provides its users with a selection of recommended Neo-based wallets, which include online, desktop, mobile, full node, and hardware wallets.

Cryptwerk

Lastly, Cryptwerk has updated its online directory of companies, websites, shops, and services that accept NEO for payments. The data and analytics website claims it “is useful for people who want to spend cryptocurrency directly, without exchanges or banking cards.”

The website offers a variety of data points such as monthly growth in companies that accept NEO as payment, categories of merchants that accept NEO, and NEO’s adoption (as a means of payment) by country, among other statistics.

Currently, Cryptwerk is tracking 269 merchants that accept NEO, with 32.04% of those merchants located in the US. Other merchants are located in include the UK (7.73%), the Netherlands (6.08%), and India (4.42%), among many others. The Cryptwerk website also contains a global heat map and a full list of merchants that accept NEO.

The most popular merchant categories that accept NEO are shops and markets (33.95%), internet services (24.74%), crypto-based services (16.36%), and business-to-business services (10.43%), plus more.
