Ryu Coin has recently announced partnerships with game development studios Shock Valor and Realm Games. Ryu Coin is a USA-based project on the NEO blockchain that aims to let players wager on themselves in skill-based video games.

Using Ryu, game developers will be able to allow players to place bets using the RYU token. RYU wager support can be integrated into games by using either the Ryu Server API, or through direct calls to its “RYU Vault” smart contract on the NEO blockchain, which will handle the settlement of all bets. The Ryu Coin team will maintain a whitelist of approved games that can participate in its wagering service. Up to 5 percent of wagered RYU tokens will go to the game developer, with up to 6 percent of wagers distributed to the Ryu Coin team. 90 percent of the tokens are awarded to the winning player.

Both Shock Valor and Realm Games specialize in mobile games. Shock Valor’s “Plumber 3” is currently available for Android and iOS devices. The first “Plumber” in the series has been downloaded over 5,000,000 times from the Google Play Store. Realm Games is a smaller development studio whose top-down scrolling space shooter, “Guardian Earth”, is available in the Google Play Store.

The Ryu Coin team plans to publish its Ryu Vault smart contract to the NEO MainNet and hold its token sale in the fourth quarter of 2018. The wagering service is scheduled to begin in the first quarter of 2019.
