On March 30th and 31st, 2018, Chairwoman and CEO of THEKEY, Catherine Li, spoke to leaders from national, provincial and municipal levels of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security at an annual conference held to discuss the application of THEKEY’s IDV technology, held in Kaifeng. This was the second time that THEKEY has been promoted by the Chinese government at a national level conference. During the previous conference in 2017, THEKEY’s mobile IDV product was introduced to the Human Resources and Social Security departments from over 24 provinces and cities. The rapid expansion of THEKEY smart social insurance pay solution to 41 cities over the past 12 months can be directly attributed to agreements signed after this conference.
During this year’s conference, Catherine reported on the current state of THEKEY’s Identification Verification (IDV) technology, which is used in mobile social security payment products used by Kaifeng’s Human Resources and Social Security Ministry. She also held a discussion on the promotion of these products within China and Internationally.
Kaifeng, one of THEKEY’s pilot cities, is the ancient capital of eight dynasties in China and one of the most important cities in Henan province. It covers a total area of 6,266 square kilometers, with 5 municipal districts and has a population of 4.5 million. This pilot program in Kaifeng has demonstrated wide use of THEKEY’s IDV product in smart social insurance services including checking, subscription, reimbursement and account management.
