THEKEY, a blockchain-based digital identity verification platform, was granted the Technology Innovation Award of 2018 Chinese Government’s Information Product at the China International Big Data Industry Expo 2018.
THEKEY was decorated for its MVP/Testnet Virtual Social Security Card Application to build a medical insurance and medical big data platform.
The event was held in Guiyang, China from May 26th to May 29th and was hosted by the National Development and Reform Commission, as well as Provincial Government of Guizhou, and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. It’s reported that China’s President, Xi Jingping posted a congratulatory letter on the launch of the exhibition.
Other renowned companies received awards at the event, including the Xinhua News Agency, which is the official state-run press agency of the People’s Republic of China. THEKEY’s MVP, however, was the only blockchain project to win an award in its category.
In an interview with CGTN, THEKEY’s CEO, Catherine Li stated that he was “very satisfied” with the progress of the THEKEY’s MVP/Testnet project and that the team will be focusing on improving the performance and reliability of its Blockchain-based Dynamic Multi-dimension Identification (BDMI) technology.
In a separate statement, THEKEY claims that it will seek to develop “exclusive” hardware devices in future to underpin the work of its BDMI technology.
