Travala recently announced updates to its Marketplace Alpha Version 2.0, migration to a new web host, and its September roadmap. Travala is an online travel booking platform built on top of the NEO platform, that aims to “become the first decentralized global travel marketplace that will be a one-stop shop for all travel related services.”
Marketplace Alpha V2 and Migration
Travala released its Marketplace Alpha V2 on July 21st, 2018. Marketplace V2 was designed to provide an improved user experience, support bookings with NEP-5 tokens, and improve search functionality. The launch of Marketplace V2 was recently covered by NEO News Today.
In its most recent updates, Travala Marketplace V2 included upgrades to its design, user interface (UI) / user experience (UX), and performance upgrades.
Travala also completed its migration from its previous domain of “book.travala.com,” to its main domain of Travala.com.
Roadmap for September
In the upcoming month, the platform seeks to add an additional 50,000 bookable properties, which will increase the total bookable properties to 125,000 in 30 countries.
New properties will be listed in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Polynesia, Cook Islands, Samoa, Guam, Tonga, New Caledonia, the Netherlands, Portugal, Russia, Ireland, Switzerland, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Belgium, United Kingdom, and Turkey.
Travala also seeks to incorporate the following platform upgrades:
- Improved search bar UI / UX layout,
- Country level search pages,
- Interactive map searching,
- Sorting by distances from city center, and
- Search engine optimization.
Lastly, Travala will continue to develop its built-in wallet application, increase login security features, social sharing features, and performance upgrades.
