General Updates

Neo N3 MainNet experienced a brief outage on Oct. 29. Jimmy Liao, R3E Network founder and Neo core developer, reported that the issue stemmed from a neo-node plugin consensus message parsing bug, not the core protocol, and confirmed that all user assets were unaffected.

Neo Global Development sealed the Neo Time Capsule and stored it in a NeoFS container, which will be opened on Oct. 17, 2036. Community members can view the manifest at timecapsule.ngd.network. Additionally, NGD distributed 20 GAS each to 10 winners who submitted the best messages in the Neo Time Capsule message contest. NGD also distributed all prizes for WhisperDark.

COZ distributed 369 NEO across three contributions in Proof of Working 2.16, recognizing a new payment monitoring service, continued development of the Pusharoo deployment workspace, and security hardening for the NeoVest vesting platform. The round brings the program’s cumulative total to 7,725 NEO distributed across 16 rounds since its January relaunch.

AxLabs rebranded its Ax402 micropayments product as Launa, a platform that prepares businesses for the agentic internet. Launa connects existing stores, catalogs, and payment systems so AI agents can discover a business, read its offerings, place orders, and settle payment. The platform is payment-agnostic and supports agent payments in xGAS on Neo X, among other rails.

SpoonOS relaunched SpoonOS Arena with the ability to build custom AI agents that trade autonomously on prediction markets. Community testing ran from Oct. 26 through Nov. 2, with USDT prizes available. Additionally, SpoonOS launched Season 3 of its Community Contribution Program, running Oct. 26 through Dec. 26. Participants earn points and compete for a 240 USDT prize pool.

Neo Red Pill hosted a giveaway campaign to celebrate 10 years of Neo MainNet, distributing 30 GAS across ten participants.

Neo HODLers concluded its launch event, which offered a pool of 250 GAS to be split among the top 10 participants.

Frank Coin distributed 18 GAS in total rewards to beta players of World of Elements during October. Additional testers are invited to earn rewards through bug reports and general activity. Additionally, Frank Coin hosted a Telegram games session, awarding 100 FRANK to the top player and 40 FRANK each to 10 randomly selected participants.

nDapp reported the weekly N3 GAS check-in. Network users claimed 70,424.88 GAS this week, while on-chain activity burned 624.20 GAS.

Developer Updates

NNT open-sourced neo-scope, a Rust-based indexer and REST API for Neo X that syncs blockchain data into MySQL for block explorer and analytics use cases. The v0.1.0 release, published Oct. 27, is a self-contained, open-source Neo X indexer that developers can deploy on their own infrastructure without relying on hosted services.

Neo SPCC released the following:

  • Neo Exporter v0.16.0 on Oct. 26, introducing real-time Prometheus metrics for NeoFS network economic parameters alongside network map version tracking, updated stack dependencies, and a breaking change to endpoint configuration.
  • NeoFS SDK Go v1.0.0-rc.24 on Oct. 27, introducing time-based object expiration support, upgrading the default API version to 2.28, and removing five deprecated client interfaces. The release continues Neo SPCC’s quarterly SDK progression toward a stable v1.0.
  • NeoFS Node v0.58.0, codenamed “Gopado,” on Oct. 28, enforcing request validity windows, implementing server-side time-based object expiration, and upgrading session key encryption to HPKE. The release also hardens erasure-coding operations, removes several legacy features, and fixes multiple stability issues including panic-inducing bugs.
  • NeoFS oAuthz v0.7.0, an update to the authentication backend for send.fs.neo.org. The release adds a time-based allow record for objects that do not use the old expiration epoch attribute, and updates the minimum Go version to 1.26 along with the NeoFS SDK to RC24.
  • Patch updates to two NeoFS web tools, now live at panel.fs.neo.org and send.fs.neo.org. NeoFS panel v0.12.1 adds API 2.28 object expiration display, while Send.NeoFS v0.7.1 adapts to time-based object expirations and fixes a dark-mode contrast issue.
  • NeoFS S3 gateway v0.48.0, a feature and compatibility update to the S3-protocol gateway for NeoFS. The release improves GET performance, adds conditional PUT support through If-Match and If-None-Match ETag handling, and switches all objects to time-based expiration. It also resolves a wide range of S3 compatibility issues and updates dependencies including the NeoFS SDK and contracts.
  • NeoFS REST gateway v0.21.0, an update to the service that provides REST API access to NeoFS. The release switches object expiration to time-based headers, adds an X-Expiration-Timestamp header to object GET and HEAD responses, and updates the NeoFS SDK to RC24.

R3E Network released neo-rs v0.20.0, a Rust implementation of Neo that now targets Neo N3 v3.10.2. The release aligns multisig witness classification with the v3.10.2 security patch tests, moves the minimum Rust version to 1.99, and adds fail-closed app-log comparison and a state-root divergence halt. It remains a testnet and private-network release rather than a mainnet-certified node.
