General Updates

Neo Legacy officially deprecated the original version of its blockchain, which was launched in 2016 under the name AntShares. A final snapshot of Neo Legacy was taken before the shutdown to preserve its historical state. Block production has ceased, and all on-chain operations, including asset transfers, token migrations, and contract deployments, are now disabled.

Neo opened several core repositories on GitHub, marking two years since Neo X’s initial announcement. The move follows the recent MainNet v0.4.2 upgrade, which deployed MEV-resistant transaction ordering using enveloped transactions, threshold encryption, and dBFT consensus. Developed by BaneLabs – a collaboration between Neo Global Development, NeoSPCC, and AxLabs – the EVM-compatible chain has progressed from concept to production through multiple TestNet and MainNet releases, as well as audits from Red4Sec, BlockSec, Hacken, and Secure3. Newly opened repositories include the Neo X node, bridge contracts, TPKE libraries, and ZK tooling, signaling a shift from stealth development toward open collaboration across the Neo N3 and Neo X ecosystems.

SpoonOS announced Hanoi as the second stop on the Scoop AI Hackathon global tour, a competition exploring the intersection of blockchain and AI. The Hanoi Bowl will follow a hybrid structure, beginning with a currently active online phase for team registration and idea submission, and culminating in mid-November with an offline hackathon weekend in Hanoi.

SpoonOS launched Spoon-Fed Ideas, a unique way that ecosystem members can contribute to the multi-stop, multi-month Scoop AI Hackathon. Spoon-Fed Ideas is an initiative designed to connect non-developers with builders in the Web3 and AI space. If a Spoon-Fed Idea wins one of the various hackathon “Bowls,” then both the individual who makes the suggestion and the developer who builds it will win GAS rewards.

SpoonOS hosted the eighth installment of the AI Co-Learning Program, titled Rewiring the Reward Pathways. The guest was Shridhar, a PhD student in AI and machine learning at ETH Zurich. Participants had the chance to win US $200 in GAS and 10 OpenRouter API Keys.

SpoonOS hosted an online workshop entitled Launching Project with Multi-Agent Interaction on SpoonOS, oriented toward assisting developers participating in the multi-city hackathon.
