Neo and SpoonOS were featured on Blockster’s series, The Blockchain Hustler, where Neo Global Development ecosystem growth director John Wang spoke about Neo’s evolution, the team’s strategy for real-world adoption, and what differentiates the technology from other blockchains.
SpoonOS announced the seventh installment of the AI Co-Learning Program, titled Advances and Challenges in Foundation Agents – Building the Cognitive Engine. The guest will be Bang Liu, an associate professor in the Department of Computer Science and Operations Research at the University of Montreal. Participants have the chance to win US $200 in GAS and 10 OpenRouter API Keys.
Flamingo Finance launched SmartBuy, a smart contract feature that automates FLOCKS token acquisition by selecting the most cost-efficient option between minting or market purchase. The SmartBuy functionality will be integrated into the FLOCKS acquisition interface and is intended to lower the barrier for new users entering the FLOCKS ecosystem. According to the Flamingo team, SmartBuy aims to simplify the process and deliver price-efficient outcomes without requiring users to decide between minting or buying independently.
Flamingo Finance noted that Epoch 27 concluded, that the total payout was $5,124.13, and 79,434 FLM were burned.
The Flamingo Finance team shared its insights into Centre Point #2, which recently occurred in Singapore. The team championed fee reductions and fairer GAS rewards to remove barriers for developers and token holders while supporting lower registration costs to make Council participation more accessible. Beyond technical fixes, Flamingo is prototyping features for a new governance platform to improve transparency, reporting, and dialogue between Council members and the community. They also committed to embedding the newly drafted Council values statement into their own DeFi tools, signaling alignment between product design and ecosystem stewardship.
GrantShares released a new request for proposals, GS-004: Make It Make Sense: Build with MEV Resistance Tech. The RFP encourages developers to build small demo projects that showcase Neo X’s MEV resistance technology. It was published on Oct. 8 and will accept submissions until Nov. 5. Each selected submission will receive the equivalent of $2,000 in GAS tokens, drawn from a total budget of $8,000.
War on Bugs introduced new gameplay systems that expand strategic combat, including bug swarm encounters, an action point-based combat economy, and a card combo system. Bugs can now appear in swarms of one to four enemies with a shared health pool. Combat now runs on an Action Point system, which governs how many actions a player can take during a turn. The updated combo system is closely tied to the AP economy, allowing players to chain multiple cards per turn. Additionally, the roster now includes a new character, SamNeo, inspired by a moderator from the Neo Discord server, who introduces two unique perks.
Vaulten distributed 20.275 GAS to solvers during the first week of the game’s operation. Players received rewards for solving on-chain puzzles and logic games inspired by escape rooms and cryptographic riddles.
nDapp released a weekly N3 GAS check-in, which noted that network users claimed approximately 80,992 GAS in the past week, and the on-chain activity burned about 1,456 GAS.
Frank Coin hosted a GasBot trivia contest on the FrankCoin channel of the NeoF1 Discord server and distributed 3 GAS in rewards to participants.
Developer Updates
Neo SPCC released NeoFS v0.49.0, which brings key improvements to performance, stability, and the developer experience. The update introduces more efficient memory usage for file transfers, clearer error codes from storage nodes, and fixes for large-scale container management. It also simplifies CLI commands and enhances garbage collection, aimed at improving the network’s scalability and usability.
Neo SPCC released its bimonthly report, which noted updates to NeoFS, S3 gateway, REST gateway, NeoFS SDK, and NeoGo.
