AxLabs has opened a new GrantShares request for proposals on behalf of Bane Labs, the core development team behind Neo X, inviting developers to build demo projects that showcase Neo X’s MEV resistance technology.
The RFP, titled Make It Make Sense: Build with MEV Resistance Tech (GS-004), was published on Oct. 8 and will accept submissions until Nov. 5.
Retroactive grants
The initiative seeks to fund up to four completed projects that demonstrate how MEV resistance functions and why it matters in decentralized applications. Each selected submission will receive the equivalent of US $2,000 in GAS tokens, drawn from a total RFP budget of $8,000.
The grants will be awarded on a retroactive basis. Developers are required to build and deploy their projects on Neo X MainNet before submitting a proposal for funding.
Projects should be small, educational demos, such as games, token swap tools, or bidding systems that highlight the difference between MEV-protected and unprotected transactions.
Bane Labs maintains a documentation portal for developers. Implementation details for the anti-MEV system and other general information for Neo X developers is included.
Evaluation
Each submission must include a comparative example, open-source code, a simple front-end interface, and on-chain deployment. Participants must also provide documentation, a short demo video, and a one-page post-mortem report summarizing their experience with Neo X’s MEV-resistant transaction envelopes.
Grant proposals will be evaluated by DAO members based on quality, clarity, and originality, with preference given to early and unique submissions. Selected projects will also receive promotional exposure through official channels.
Proposals must be submitted through the GrantShares dApp under the “Request for Funding” category before Nov. 5. However, applicants are instructed to wait until after Nov. 5 to place their proposals on-chain to ensure all participants have the same amount of time to complete their submissions.
