Rise In‘s Neo X Grind hackathon satellite event concluded in Gurugram, India, with more than 170 developers participating across 40 teams. Additionally, a Neo X Grind satellite build station was hosted in São Paulo, Brazil, in collaboration with HackQuest. Over 60 developers attended the in-person event to build on the EVM sidechain. Submissions for Encode Club’s online satellite event closed on Oct. 6.

Neo announced the ten September winners of the NeoPod ambassador program. This structured rewards program empowers dedicated community members to help expand the reach of the Neo multi-chain ecosystem. September’s Top 10 Operators will share from a pool of GAS valued at $1,000.

Flamingo Finance re-opened the Poly Network cross-chain bridge on Monday, Sep. 30. Users can now migrate their assets between Neo N3 and the BNB Chain and Ethereum networks. At the time of press, Ontology and Wing Finance cross-chain functionality remains unavailable as technical issues are being resolved.

COZ returned as a sponsor and technology partner for the second year of the DENVER WALLS mural festival. As in 2023, COZ installed ITEM Systems’ non-fungible item-enabled bronze plaques accompanying this year’s 13 murals. The bronze plaques at each mural are embedded with NFI chips that allow visitors to tap-scan, or camera-scan a QR code, to interact with the art and artist. However, this year, festival attendees were able to redeem their waypoint check-ins for a free reward in collaboration with a local business. DENVER WALLS kicked off on Sep. 28 and concluded on Oct. 5.

Vital Wallet launched its browser extension wallet, which allows Neo N3 users to generate wallets on MetaMask. The dApp’s code was audited and approved by Hacken.

TOTHEMOON announced a snapshot date and time of Oct. 11 at 23:00 UTC for its Moon Device #2 airdrop. To be eligible for the airdrop, users must hold any three sets of three generations of moon creatures (a total of nine) in the same Neo N3 wallet.

Supernova Shards launched support for its in-game LFC token on Neo X, which allows users to migrate the token to the X network to stake the token or purchase in-game items. Neo X is the second blockchain supported by the MMORPG game. To celebrate the integration, Supernova Shards plans to launch a unique NFT series of “starship blueprints” on Neo X for users to purchase and use in the game.

Frank Coin hosted a community quiz on the team’s official Telegram channel. The top three participants each won 60 FLM, and ten random winners each won 0.5 GAS. The Frank Coin team also hosted a trivia contest on the Neo F1 Discord server, and ten random participants each won 40 FRANK tokens.

Developer Updates

Red4Sec completed an audit of the Neo X governance and native X-to-N3 bridge smart contracts. The auditing firm delivered three detailed reports outlining vulnerabilities and their respective fixes. Neo’s developers have resolved the high- and medium-level vulnerabilities to ensure the network’s overall security. The Neo X EVM sidechain has now been audited by three security firms, including BlockSec, Secur3, and Red4Sec.

NNT co-hosted Crypto Coffee and Blockchain Beer Spaces #36 with COZ CEO Tyler Adams on the official The Smart Economy Podcast X account. Topics of discussion included DENVER WALLS 2024 activation with non-fungible item plaques, COZ’s lessons learned from these two DENVER WALLS events, the tap-and-redeem process with Ratio Beerworks, local Cryptorado Community blockchain events, the potential for a COZ NFI toolkit, and the BlockSpirits game activation at TOKEN2049.

Neo was featured in a conversation with PYOR at its TOKEN2049 booth, where NNT talked about Neo as a pioneer in blockchain, the advantages of the dBFT consensus mechanism, the dual-token model, and future plans for the blockchain.
