Neo Global Development announced the winners of the Neo Frontier Launchpad competition. Three major prizes of US $12,000 equivalent (plus multiplier) in NEO were awarded to the best projects in the NFT, DeFi, and General categories. NGD is showcasing top projects from the Neo Frontier Launchpad event during a demo week. A series of online presentations will run each day from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (UTC), starting Monday, July 26, through Friday, July 30. NGD will record each of the sessions and upload the videos to the official Neo YouTube channel.
Neo released the Neo N3 RC4 codebase and node update, adding new features and optimizations over the previous build. RC4 is the first N3 release designated as a Formal TestNet candidate – it is the first to include all essential MainNet functionality. Over the following weeks, Neo will onboard the additional roles required for the network’s operation, including initial council members, NeoFS nodes, and Oracle nodes. During this time, testing for governance operations, token migration, and initial dApp deployments will take place to evaluate the platform’s readiness for the real world.
NGD announced the winners of the #NeoIsHere creative content community campaign. A community vote determined the top 11 submissions, and NGD will contact the winners in the coming week to distribute rewards.
Neo co-founder, Da Hongfei, participated in a webinar series hosted by OnChain entitled “Is it the Right Time to Reconsider Crypto?” In his presentation, Da discussed Bitcoin’s stages of maturity, DeFi as a new paradigm of finance, web3/next-generation internet, the metaverse, plus more.
NGD Enterprise lead, John deVadoss, participated in a panel for the Asia Innovation Summit entitled “Token-Incentivization and Community.” In the panel, deVadoss said, “Every previous wave of innovation was a passive tech stack. Blockchain tech has a robust economic protocol in place.”
