The AxLabs team is hosting a new installment of the GrantShares Shill Your Proposal Twitter Spaces featuring Nicola Dimitri, Professor of Economics at the University of Siena in Italy. Professor Dmitri intends to discuss the second half of his research about the dual-token economy and the proposal currently onchain awaiting endorsement from a voting member. The event will begin at 4:00 p.m. (UTC) on Thursday, June 1, and will be recorded.
The Shill Your Proposal series was launched in 2022 as an open venue for users to discuss the community-funding DAO and proposals. The first six episodes took place exclusively on the Twitter platform, but the upcoming seventh episode will introduce a new live-stream format that allows the speaker to deliver a visual presentation while also speaking on a Spaces.
Professor Dmitri intends to discuss the findings from the first milestone of two of his academic publication “The Neo Two-Token Blockchain.” This milestone for the analysis of Neo’s dual-token economy was approved in Sep. 2022, with three out of five GrantShares members voting in favor. The research explored how indicators like price, trades, and circulating monetary quantities can impact Neo and potentially support policymaking.
Additionally, Professor Dmitri plans to discuss the scope of the remaining research, which will focus on the dynamics of the Neo blockchain. The proposal for milestone two specifically cites studying how NEO holdings might impact GAS holdings over time and how GAS spent on functions such as transaction fees and invoking smart contracts impacts that relationship.
