APEX has released the second version of its mobile wallet, updating to v0.9.1. The newest version includes a rewards module that will enable “various types of reward-type campaigns surrounding the APEX Network ecosystem,” including the second wave of the KRATOS One Special Node Program that was announced earlier this month for CPX holders.
Instructions for updating wallets to the newest version have been supplied here. Eventually, updates for the APEX Wallet application will be made available through the platform’s Github and Android/iOS app stores.
A video tutorial of the wallet in action can be viewed here on Youtube.
Shortly before the launch of the new APEX wallet, the team announced Stage 2 of its #DiscoverAPEX bounty campaign series. According to an announcement released by the platform, “the initiative aims to raise awareness, on-board and educate new members in our APEX community.” Bounties will be paid out in a tiered structure in the form of CPX tokens.
The initiative is broken down into two different incentives: an explanatory GIF contest and a video competition. Selected entries from the GIF contest will be posted on social media in an attempt to educate readers about the APEX Network; entries can either focus on a particular aspect of the network (APEX Wallet, team, nodal ecosystem) or be about the network as a whole. Each entry will be evaluated on set criteria such as graphics quality, creativity and factual accuracy.
The rewards for the GIF contest have been outlined below:
- 1st place: 15,000 CPX
- 2nd place: 10,000 CPX
- 3rd place: 8,000 CPX
- 4th-10th place: 2,000 CPX
Participants have until September 15th to submit their entries by tweeting with the hashtags #APEX $APEX #CPX $CPX. Participants must also complete the following Google form. (Entries must be tweeted out and the Google form must be completed for entries to be considered valid; tweets must also remain on the social network in order to qualify).
The Explanatory Video Competition follows the same content guidelines as the GIF contest (can be about a particular feature or the network itself). Additionally, the same evaluation and submission standards apply (September 15th deadline, submissions tweeted with the provided hashtags). One requirement, however, of the video competition is that each entry must be in 720p as the minimum.
The rewards structure for the Explanatory Video Competition is below:
- 1st place: 25,000 CPX
- 2nd place: 20,000 CPX
- 3rd place: 15,000 CPX
