NEO

The Neo Foundation announced the resumption of Early Bird migration from Neo Legacy to Neo N3 following a temporary pause due to the Poly Network attack. Users could immediately begin participating in Neo N3 governance following NEO and GAS migration. The NF noted the migration process should take approximately 30 minutes for most but could take up to 24 hours to complete.

The NF released an FAQ guide surrounding the Neo Legacy to Neo N3 migration.

NNT Catch Up

Neo News Today announced it is distributing two $4,000 grants to inquisitive devs who’d like to test drive Neo for the first time. As Neo is looking to attract new developers with new ideas to the ecosystem, NNT is specifically looking for developers who have experience in other blockchain ecosystems. The three factors that will most influence the grant selection process include:

  • Previous blockchain experience
  • The applicant’s ideas for how they intend to explore Neo
  • How the applicant plans to communicate their experience

Grants will be paid out in equivalent cryptocurrency.

NNT released a feature article on the Neo Frontier Launchpad’s Best DeFi Project, Lyrebird. Lyrebird is an algorithmic stablecoin and synthetic coin protocol aimed at being the first stablecoin on the Neo N3 blockchain. Longer-term intentions include becoming a community-owned synthetic asset platform that can mint fungible tokens pegged to the values of world currencies, securities, crypto assets, and other commodities with a well-defined price. The protocol relies on arbitrageurs to stabilize the price of its stablecoin.

NNT released a feature article on the Neo Frontier Launchpad’s Best General Project, IntelliJ. IntelliJ allows users to create and manage private networks, explore blocks and transactions, create wallets and transfer assets, and deploy or invoke smart contracts. The project is essentially an equivalent of the Neo Blockchain Toolkit for VS Code, but ported for use in JetBrains IntelliJ-based IDEs. IntelliJ is an open-source platform that allows users to build tools (i.e., IDEs and plugins) in any language. Thanks to its ease of integration with any IntelliJ-based IDE, the tool closely aligns with Neo’s long-term goal of meeting developers in their own preferred environment.
